Default value for protection in Data Protector Software
Hello,
I’d like to change default protection in Data Protector internal database from Permanent to XX days, but I can't find appropriate place to change it.
Any ideas?
Thank You in advance.

Re: Default value for protection in Data Protector Software
You can create a backup template that specify the options that you want, then use this template when you add a backup specification.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

In the backup job, Go to the Backup Object Summary, and select the Database Object ( IDB) and click on properties.
Under the oBeject Properties, select the Options tab, and you will be able to put the protection in days
Best regards
