Difference between MO drive C1113f and C1113j
Hi
I have two drives called surestore 5200ex on HP10.20. Looking at the model (ioscan), the models are c1113j and c1113f. The c1113f can not read 5.2Gb. Is it linked to the model? Shall I upgrade the c1113f firmware? What is the difference between the two models?
thanks
vincent

Re: Difference between MO drive C1113f and C1113j
hi Vincent,
C1113j is a 8x Mechanism, he can read 5.2 Gb capacity
C1113F is a 4X Mechanism and can read only 2.6 Gb disk
you cannot upgrade FW, you should exchange the drive

Re: Difference between MO drive C1113f and C1113j
Vince,
these are different mechs. First is 5200ex, second should be 2600fx. 5200ex is 'cooler' and can read and write 2.6G and 5.2G disks (and some less capacity disks). Although 2600fx can only r/w disks of 2.6G, and can not access data on disks of 5.2G
