Drive failing on compare
New SCSI card & TLZ9 autoloader installed on an Alpha 1000A running OpenVMS 7.1
When the backup routine runs the compare to verify the backed up files, the tape drive fails, it is dismounted and remounted continously until failure occurs

Contact either your service provider/dealer, or Compaq Alpha or Storageworks support at 1-800-354-9000 for problems such as this. The root cause could be firmware or hardware.
