I'm looking for a windows 2008 R2 driver for a HP StorageWorks SSL1016 Ultrium 460 Autoloader. Any help in finding this other then "Google it" is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

As far as I recall, you just need a driver for the tape drive.
An Autoloader isnt a library so Windows wont see any of the robotics.

Try the generic HP Storage Tape Drivers for Windows from here...

I'm not 100% sure this worked. Is there additional software that has to be installed along side this e.g.. HP library and tape tools?

Hi Derrick,

As far as I recall you should get the loader showing up in Windows device manager as 'Unknown Loader' or something similar. This is normal.
And the tape drive in the loader should show up in the tape drives section of the device manager the same as a standalone drive would.

HP Library and Tapetools is only for troubleshooting / testing drives, loaders and libraries, so you dont need it for basic functionality.

Thanks
