Storage Boards Cleanup
To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

Dual 4 GB fibre channel port on a LTO3 tapedrive AG328B

We bought a MSL 4048 Tapelibrary. On the rear of the cabinet there for each drive two 4 FC connectors; port A and port B Is there anywhere any documentation how we have to connect these two ports to our SAN for redundancy?

Thanks in advance,

This is from: MSL4048 Tape Library - Getting started

The Fibre Channel tape drive has two Fibre Channel ports. Only one port may be used at a time, but both ports can be connected for path failover if your application supports path failover.

answer is right, you can connect both but only use ONE at the same time.

When using DP and reading the term "multipath" please realize that they mean support to the same drive from multiple hosts, not from one host to the same drive.
