I don't understand this.
Is it connected to a SAN switch included in the EVA?
Do you have a kind of backup software that is using the array and the library.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: EML-E As a Stand Alone System
Your EMLe in fact ever was stand-alone.
Obviously it was connected to an embedded b-series switch inside the EVA4400, so you now need to connect the cables to another switch. If you adjust zoning on that switch your server should be able to continue working with the library.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: EML-E As a Stand Alone System
From this point of view consider the EVA4400 as a SAN switch.
So you need now a new SAN switch to connect your server and the library or (if you have enough connectors free) a direct connection to the server for the 3 (at the moment 4) cables.
Something like this:
IMHO the second cable from the lib (B) is not needed.
The EVA controllers shown are not only the EVA controllers, but they have *independent* b-series switches embedded. Now you need a replacememt for these switches.
Another some poor solution would be to keep everything as it is ... you could un-initialize the EVA, remove all the disk enclosures, keep the controllers and use the switches only.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
