Error 58

I have a DDS-3 autochanger that is giving me an Error 58 during the power-on self test. What is this telling me?

Re: Error 58

I'm sorry, it's actually error 56!

Re: Error 58

What model/make is the changer? HP, Sun, etc?

Re: Error 58

This is an HP unit, C6367A. I checked the mounting tabs as Eugeny's links pointed out, but they look fine to me. I'm wondering about the cabling, in particular the Black/Green/Open and the White/Open/Red connectors. There is one horizontal, 8 pin connection where these go, but I'm unclear as to which pins are used.

Re: Error 58

This should be truly mechanical issue. If you have contract/warranty ask HP to check/replace the unit, if not I guess you need to open the box and check if there's really anything wrong happened to platform mech or is there simply tape jammed somehow

Re: Error 58

I'll take this up with the vendor from which we received the unit. This is a replacement for our original one. I was looking for a quick fix so I wouldn't have to send it back to them, but I guess that will be best. Thanks for your help!
