Error when powering up the TL891 - 2072: failure to power up the second drive
I am configuring our ProLiant 1600 server (NT4 SP6) with a Compaq differential SCSI adaptor card to a table top TL891 with 2 internal drives.
The SCSI card is configured and loaded with correct driver from SD v2.19A and it detects the DEC tape unit.
However, when powering up the TL891, it initializes the leader, then looks for drive 0 (approx 6 seconds) then quickly flashes looking for drive 1 before posting a fault code error message 2072: drive power up error.
A cursory look inside the box revealed everything plugged in, but not sure whether the problem is SCSI cabling, SCSI addressing or a physical failure.
I have down loaded the firmware update for TMSC, but not applied yet. Current firmware is 05.14
The cables are connected so that the adaptor goes into the Library #1, then daisy chain Library - DLT 0, DLT 0 - DLT 1 then differential terminator on DLT 1.
Any ideas to narrow down where to look.
