Firmware
Firmware question about DLT7000 drives. I know this topic has been covered for various situations however i'm a little confused for my situation.
I have a mixture of tape devices that I'd like to upgrade to the latest levels of firmware. Some are external tape devices and some are internal. Some of the tape devices appear through the OS (NT4) as TZ89 and some appear as DLT7000 some show firmware levels of 2150, 2255 and 2561.
How do the firmware levels of 2150, 2255 and 2561 relate to the firmware levels of 105, 106 and 109 from Quantum ?
My biggest problem in achieving the firmware upgrades is I can't install any software on the servers to perform the firmware upgrade so i'm really looking to create a FUP and perform the upgrade from the tape media.
How many different personality's of firmware are there for DLT7000/TZ89 ? How can I find out what personality of firmware I require for my devices without installing the software ?
