G2 Autoloader
I have a Storageworks G2 autoloader/tape drive in a SCSI set of HP servers. The drive is connected directly to a DL380G4 server. I am unable to control the autoloader via Symantec Backup Exec. The program detects the drive as a stand-alone drive no problem, but it won't work as robotic library.
Might this be a hardware issue? The drive is connected to the integrated SCSI-board and we have been wondering if a separate SCSI-card is needed.
Thank you in advance for any help

Re: G2 Autoloader
This will happen if you connect the device to a smartarray controller - the changer will not be detected. You need a "pure" scsi controller.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
