It's a mechanical problem. One of the tapes is not properly inserted in the magazine. Is there any solution ?

Re: HP 20/40 Gb DAT -8 cassette autoloader

I have tried to force an eject by holding the eject button down for several seconds and I did get a moment of activity. The LCD showed that a forced eject was in progress and both of the status lights flashed. Then the LCD reverted to the LDR HW ERROR message.

How do I get the cartrige out to properly reload the tapes?

Open the autoloader,8 screws, push back the tape and normally you can eject the magazine. But after a few days or weeks,i have the same problem.

Re: HP 20/40 Gb DAT -8 cassette autoloader

Get the firmware checked. It may an old version.

If you haven't them loaded on your server, install the LTT tape library software.
