HP Colorado Backup Error 07-12-23-00-40C5

Hi, I have HP Colorado Backup on Win 98 SE. My motherboard got fried so I replaced it. It detected the device and everything. But when I try to do the backup, I get the following error.

error message: The following error code was reported. The backup device reported unrecoverable hardware error.(07-12-23-00-40C5)

The media is not being recognized and it won't initialize. It was working fine before the motherboard got damaged.

Any help on this is be appreciated.
