HP Colorado T4000s Tape Drive Error

Help!
Recently when I back up the daily data onto the tape, an error message would always show up.
???Tape Drive Error???: Tape device reported an error on a request to write data to tape.
???Error Reported???: Bus reset.
Why is it & What can I do to fix the error?

Hi,

this happens when other devices are on the same bus. If one of this devices generates a scsi reset, the drive is lost its way. Solutions:
- simple: check all devices for possible errors
- more difficult: redesign the system, so the tapedrive has its own scsibus.
