HP DAT 40 USB
Hi,
My HP DAT 40 USB Tape Drive is detected in Windows 2000 server but the Veritas Backup Exec 8.6 cannot detect the drive. Any idea why? Is the USB drive compatible with the backup software that i am using?
Thanks,
Ed

Re: HP DAT 40 USB
Bexec 8.6 is quite old, I do not think it support new USB tapes technology
Have a look at the compatibility list for your version of BackupExec on veritas website

Re: HP DAT 40 USB
Hi Ed
Only Veritas Backup Exec 10.0 is compatible with the USB Drives
If you go to www.hp.com/go/connect and select Tape Drives there is a Software compatiblity for the drives.
