HP Data Protector 6 - A request 3 (vbda.exe) came from host XX which is not a cell manager of
Can some please tell me or give me a document on how the client of HP Data Protector connects to the Cell Manager?
I'm having trouble connecting on DNS or WINS. I want to force the client to look at a different FQDN. Can i change this sameware in a config file or registery? The error message is posted in the INIT.log on de client.
HKLM/SOFTWARE\HP\OPENView|OmnibackII\Site\Cellserver value is correct but in de init.log i find a different FQDN.
Greetzzzzzzz,
Dave

First Data protector use 5555 port.
You may test your client connection, after that cell manager and client computer's hosts file may you write your clients and cell amangers ip address and host names.
