HP Data Protector question
I try to scan or format a slot and get the message "device is already locked by someone else". How do I unlock this?

Re: HP Data Protector question
Hi,
Check first in the Monitor window if there is any session running and using this drive (perhaps in a "Mount request" state).
If not, there may be some processes hanging from a failed session. Shut down DP and try to find if there is any such processes.
You can also try the command "omnidbutil -free_locked_devs" (see the man page for omnidbutil).
If nothing helps, restart the Cell manager (and the Medium agent client if this is not the Cell manager).
