HP SCSI U320 Single bus G2 and Ultrium 448 drive
HP SCSI adapter (19/9 BIOS and drivers) and brandnew HP Ultrium 448 drive stops working after backup less than 800.000 bytes.
Results in Backup Exec 10d (Using BE and/or Windows drivers)or Windows Backup are same.
?

Re: HP SCSI U320 Single bus G2 and Ultrium 448 drive
Hi John:
Since you are running Windows, have you disabled Removable Storage Service(s)?
Also, is there a terminator at the back of the drive?
have you also installed the latest set of drivers for the HBA? Confirm the same by clicking on the URL:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/index.html
Depending on the server the drive is attached to, ensure the latest HBA drivers are installed.
Also, do check to see if you running latest patch of the Veritas drivers as well:

Do let us know the outcome
