Hi,

Can you see the tape drive in the BIOS of the SCSI card as the system boots up ?

Cheers,

Hi Sheapa77,

Please try the following:

1) Check that the HP Ultrium 920 is powered on.
2) Check that the SCSI cable is properly connected to the adapter.
3) Check that the SCSI cable is properly connected to the bottom (not the top) connector at the back of the HP Ultrium 920 tape drive and that the green "ACT TERM" LED is on.
4) If the above does help try replacing the SCSI cable with another "good" one if possible.
5) In Device Manager do a manual scan for new hardware.

If none of the above works please confirm:

1) The SCSI adapter connected to the Ultrium 920.
2) Are you able to see the adapter in Device Manager?
3) Is the adapter properly configured with the latest available drivers?
