HP Superstore dat 24
Hi
We have a client with an internal tape drive (HP superstore dat 24) on an NT4 server SP5. Every two or three weeks, the tape would not eject. There would be no led flashing and will get no response when eject button is pushed. The only way to eject the tape is to restart the server. Its using the firmware L111 (HPC1537A drivers)-The software used is backup exec version 8.0 Rev 3311. Any suggestions will be most appreciated

Re: HP Superstore dat 24
You did not mention which server do you have and which SCSI adapter do you use.
Anyway, as a testing I suggest to pick HP recommended HBA http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50063.html and clean drive regularly - after every 5 full backups or 20 tape pulling hours
Eugeny
