Re: HP SureStore E Tape Library Firmware
FYI, here's the change list displayed (in L&TT) for the 1.41 firmware:
Change List (15 Items):
BugFix:
Fixed between versions 1400 and 1410
After downloading "1400" firmware, the subsequent reboot would fail to power up the 509,519,529 fibre cards. These cards are only used on DLT 8000 fibre products. The library will come up with solid orange light, "Partial Availability". The front panel will say "Fibre failed". The failure does not happen until 10 minutes after the power sequence appears to be successful. The fibre data path is actually operational.
BugFix:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
When replacing a picker with "1.25.x" or later firmware into a library with "1.30.x" or newer firmware would fail POST.
BugFix:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
RMC was reporting DLT 7000 and DLT 8000 as DLT 7000/8000.
BugFix:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
Certain conditions were causing the RMC to hang and not respond to the web browser.
BugFix:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
HP LTO blue media with no labels was interpreted as an empty slot by the barcode reader.
BugFix:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
'Clean drive' operations invoked in RMC did not work.
BugFix:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
Error reporting of HP-LTO Tape Alert messages.
BugFix:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
When replacing a fiber bridge the error 'Drive is not on Fiber' would come up during the initial power up sequence.
BugFix:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
Two causes of "Get Drive" and "Drive Eject Failed" errors for DLT 8000 drives. This is often referred to as "Tape Stuck in Drive".
BugFix:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
When "I2C_NO_MSG_ERROR" would display on the front panel the library had to be power cycled to recover.
Enhancement:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
Firmware download to HP-LTO drives through Library controller SCSI interface. This enables LTT to update HP-LTO drive firmware with a simple connection to the library controller. Must have revision 'E23V' or later of LTO drive firmware.
Enhancement:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
Front Panel will display the Ultrium Logo in HP-LTO libraries.
Enhancement:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
RMC will display source and destination information on failed moves.
Enhancement:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
More retries in the IR communication with the picker. This will fix some of the "Serial Checksum Errors".
Enhancement:
Fixed between versions 1330 and 1410
Added a capability to set default fiber configurations through the front panel. Note: "Auto Select" addressing mode is no longer available for fiber.

Re: HP SureStore E Tape Library Firmware

Re: HP SureStore E Tape Library Firmware
The UX version of LTT is still missing some of the web enablement features of the Windows version.
We hope to have these added to the UX version within the next few months.
You can look at the raw data from UX if you are XML literate - the file is located at http://ftp.hp.com/pub/information_storage/software/ltt/revdata.xml
