HP Surestore DAT 40
Hello, I'm having some troubles with a tape DAT 40, the problem is that I did a backup test and I want to erase it all, but I don't know why. I inserted the tape and tried to do the backup I programmed but the Microsoft program indicates thet the tape is full and to insert a new tape. The tape that I used is new I used it only for this test and now and don't know what to do.
Can you please help me?

Re: HP Surestore DAT 40
hi,
if you are using W2k backup you need to go throught the removable storage and prepare and format the tape, they you will be able to use it again.
If you are using a third party sw, just format the tape or initialize it
