HP Surestore DAT40e not recognized

I am tryling to load DAT40e but the HP Software does not recognize it. I am using AHA-2940 SCSI card with the drive and everything is recognized by Windows Device Manager. I have no idea what is going on. Can anyone help me out??

Ian,
which HP software? http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ltt/index.html ?
As soon as DAT40 is LVD device I would recommend to look at http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50063.html and pick either fast SE 2940UW card or LVD 29160lp one

Re: HP Surestore DAT40e not recognized

hi,

first: be sure you are using only one BU software at a time, if you have previously installed another BU Sw, remove it, or stop .
If you are using W2K, be sure to stop "removable storage" in the "services", this software could take ownership of the device.

Re: HP Surestore DAT40e not recognized

I am using the latest HP L&TT software. So you think it could be the card itself?
