HP Surestore DAT40x6e autoloader

On the back of my HP Surestore DAT40x6e autoloader are two selector switches. One is the SCSI ID, the other is "Autoloader Options"

Can anyone refer me to a document which lists what the "autoloader options" are. I can't see it anywhere in the documentation.

This might help me diagnose the problems I'm having.

Re: HP Surestore DAT40x6e autoloader

Thanks for the reply.

That answers what the DIP switches do, but on the back of the autoloader, next to the SCSI ID selector, is another selector identical to the SCSI ID selector labeled "Autoloader Options".

Do you know what this one does ?

Cheers,
Martin.

Re: HP Surestore DAT40x6e autoloader

Look at page 11 of the following installation manual:

http://h200004.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpg28890/lpg28890.pdf

This controls how the autoloader responds on SCSI, and a few details on how it behaves.

The default setting is '7', which works for most OS platforms (including Windows). On Sun systems, this should be set to '5'.
The journey IS the reward.

All links are broken. We need this information for Apple OS X.
