HP-UX 11.11 and LTO
Hi all,
I have interesting problem, I working on a HP-UX 11.11 system. We are connected to a Storagetek L40 with 4 Ultrium drives. The ioscan returns all four drives claimed and with device files.
The problem is that when we try to use the 'mt' command and/or tar some files up to test we get. ' No such device or file.
We have recreated the device files, thinking they may be out of sync. But we are a loss at this point any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: HP-UX 11.11 and LTO
You should be using one of the following adapters:
A6684A
A6685A
A5158A
A6795A
All should be configured with driver AR_1201 with PHKL_23626.
You should also be sure you have the latest Tape, FC and SCSI patches for your system, which should be covered by SP56 and PHKL_22857.
Apply these, and let us know how you make out.

Re: HP-UX 11.11 and LTO
I just realized that you didn't say if you're using FC or SCSI... post back if you are using SCSI, and I'll see if I can look up the patch sets.
