HP2/20 lib upgrade

Does anyone know what I need to upgrade a 2/20 DLT8000 drive lib to a 2 drive LTO lib can I just insert the LTO drives in the existing chassis with a fibre interface???
any help would be appreciated

Yes, the 2/20 library will accept HP Ultrium 1 tape drive modules.

You will also need to change the 4 magazines (the cartridge dimensions are slightly different). Mixed media (i.e. DLT/LTO) is not supported.

Regarding fibre, you will need to ensure that the drive SCSI type is the same as the fibre interface (HVD or LVDS).

The library firmare needs to be a minimum of 1.22 for LTO, although 1.60 is the recommended level.
