Hardware Compression

I have a Compaq tl891dlx connected to a Dell server using a Adaptec AHA2944uw. The library Frimware version is 4.09. Inside there is a Compaq 35/70 DLT LDVR with Firmware version 2561(v97) (I have upgrade it using TSMC 2.3). The operating system is Windows 2000 server SP2 and my backup utility is Veritas BackupExec for Windows NT/2000 V 8.6. The system works fine in natine format but I couldn't use the Hardware Compression. I have activated it in the backup program. The data format is configured like AutoSelection and DLT0 Compression is configured as AutoSelection too. I cannot modify data format and DLT0Compression.
