Hardware Reset

Hi forum,

I heard it is possible to perform some type of 'hardware reset' on internal/external hp tape drives... my question is:

- is it true?
- how do I perform such an operation?

A simple YES or NO would be enough for me.


I dind't find any information regarding this topic in the documentation...

Then the answer is "Yes" - every HP tape drive can be hardware reset. Can it be done without resetting the OS? Can it be done without resetting the tape library that it is in? That answer depends on exactly what drive you have and where it is installed.
