To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

How to config SCSI II Control Device in OB3.5

Need help on how to create a "rac" device file for DLT8000 2x20 library using OB 3.5 [SCSI II Control Device]. The HPUX 11.0 svr does not have any /dev/rac/* devices at all.

Re: How to config SCSI II Control Device in OB3.5

Hi Louis:

You almost certainly need to go into Sam -> Kernel Configuration -> Drivers and set the 'schgr' driver to 'In' and build a new kernel. You should then be able to do an insf to create your device nodes. I typically use the 'sctl' driver (SCSI pass-thru) and build my own nodes but the schgr devices should work for you.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
