How to install HP DDS-4 tape drive.

I am just tryin my luck here. Could anyone advice how should I install a HP 20/40GB DDS-4 SCSI tape drive with a Proliant ML 330G2 running with Novell Netware 4.2?

Once I plugged everything in, it seems that Novell was not able to search for the tape drive.
