I can only backup 4Gb on my DDS3 12/24

We recently bought a new compaq DD3 tape drive. The control panel said it was a CPQ SDT-9000 Tape drive so I installed the Compaq Dat and Autoloader drivers for NT4. The Backup device works, but NTBACKUP keeps asking for a second tape (I use HP 12/24 Gb cartridges) but I only have about 5Gigz to backup ! (which is my entire HD's). Anyone know what the solution is for this ?? Thanks in advance

Re: I can only backup 4Gb on my DDS3 12/24

what kind of tape are you using you only get 12/24 with dds 3 tapes.
Try erasing tapes and foramting them with new drive and see what happens

My SDT-9000 only can work with DDS2 Tape cartridges, I put in any DDS3 tape cartridges, it just can't read it. Any suggestion?
