Installing a 35/70 drive in a 15/30 external box!

I have an older 15/30 external tape drive and I want to buy a 35/70 internal drive and install it in this external box.

Can this be done? If so will I need any connectors? etc..

Thanks in advance

Re: Installing a 35/70 drive in a 15/30 external box!

depending on which external box you are talking about the 15/30 has a 50 pin connector and the 35/70 has a 68 pin connector..basically if you have a 50 to 68 pin adapter you should be okay.
