L&TT not working with MSL5026

I have an MSL5026 and SDLT100/220.

I am trying to use the L&TT software to update them both. When i click on the SDLT it allows me to update the firmware which i have now done. When i click on the MSL5026 libary it says "An error occurred while the diagnostic function was started for the delected device". Wh i go to check the event log in the file section the event log is greyed out. Does anyone know what im doing wrong?
