LTO 3 Drive eject media problem

I have a problem with a HP Ultrium 960 U320 SCSI Single TapeDrive directly connected to a LSI 2000 series SCSI adpater.
Every time i insert a media in the drive the drive ejects it after some seconds without any infos.
I restarted the server and the tapedrive but the error is still there!
When i turn the power of the tapedrive off and insert then a media and then turn it on.
Its not rejected?

Does anyone have any idea?

but i finally solved the prob with a cleaning tape.
