LTO3 960 Firmware G54D doesn't work in MSL 6030

Hello,

I got a broken LTO-3 Drive in a MSL 6030. The drive doesn't recognize any tapes.
I got also a standalone Drive LTO-3 Q1538A with Firmware G54D which is free for use.

I tried to exchange the drive into the MSL 6030 but it won't be recognized. Of course I changed the Front bezel and inserted it into the original installation frame.

Is it possible  to do a cross firmware update from Firmware G54D to G65W anyway?

I tried to do a tape firmware update, but the drive doesn't accept the Update tape generated with LTT Tools.
