LTO3 and 4 drive/tape compatability

I understand LTO4 drives can read and write to LTO3 tapes (without encryption).
Does anyone know of any issues trying to read LTO3 tapes in an LTO3 drive that had originally been written on an LTO4 drive?

Re: LTO3 and 4 drive/tape compatability

LTO3 tapes should be always readable in a LTO3 drive - this is the idea of any standardization.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Thanks Torsten

This is the general consensus and i couldn't see why this wouldn't be the case.
