Legacy disk array connectivity to SAN

Hi there,

I need to connect a small tape library to SAN through a fc/scsi router. I have connected the library to the router and the router to my Brocade 3800 switch. I have 4 hp servers running hpux 11i. I have run ioscan/insf but no drives are visible. There is no zoning at the switch level.

Can anyone help. I guess some configuration is required at the router level.

Thanks

Asghar:

The fc/scsi router might need to be configured to present the scsi drives on the fibre.

What model router do you have?

Re: Legacy disk array connectivity to SAN

I agree.

If it is a legacy Compaq FCTC (I or II) -- I can help. If it is another brand/flavour -- then refer to the documentation. Usually those storage routers have a nice Web interface in addition to telnet and serial config options.
