Library doors open (fault handler 2009) URGENT

MSL 6030, I just replaced my lto3 (400/800gb) and after doing so, my library says
fault handler soft error 2009

i.e. it thinks the doors are open
turn light on/resume

It's off warranty, they won't renew the carepaq. I've just spent 1500 to replace a bad drive and now the library won't work.

The hp on site tech (who was fixing the server attached to this library /bad scsi card said)
Oh go look on ebay.

Is there anything I can do. I can't do tape backups and there's only so much backup to disk I can do in my network.

I've looked at the door latches and I see nothing obviously wrong.

Any response (i.e. the "urgent") that might provide some direction I'd dearly appreciate

there should be a sensor test in the OCP, try to run that test and identify if a sensor is broken

Nope can't get to the OCP. The error won't go away and won't let me either hit resume or turn light on.

(wish I could believe me :( )

may be you can try to introduce something where the door is supposed to close the optical sensor and see if the status change
it should be an optical sensor if I remember well

The door switch is a micro switch.

If you open the door, you will see a small metal bracket on the inside of the door.
Thats pushing the switch.

The screw that hold the bracket tend to loosen, and you'll get false door open.

Tighten the screw.
The bracket should not be in a 90 d. gr. angle, horizontal on door. It should be turned a little.
Do not change the vertical angle, it must be 90 d. gr.
In other words it's ok to change the angle, that you can change with the screw loos.
Do not bend the bracket.

You would have to check, if you got it right.
When you have tightent the screw, you must be able to push on the door, and remove you hand, without getting door open.
