MSL 2024 Library Tape Compatibility

Products:
AGl15A: HP MSL 2024 1 Uitrium 960 Drive Library
C7973A: HP Uitrium 800GB RW Data Cartridge

The drive library is LTO-3 and our tapes are LTO-4. Although on the original quotation we had LTO-3 tapes purchased. Will there be a compatibility issue that will prohibit us from writing backups? Will be need to have the tapes originally listed sent to us?

Hi,

an ultrium 3 tape drive CANNOT write or read LTO-4 tapes.
