MSL 2024

Hello All,
We have MSL Library 2024 ,but out of service ,We purchased it with out support ,so no body helped us to install it,I know a lot of information about it as (WWN,Zone,Backup server,Data protector,Switch zone)But I don't know the steps to install it,and I am afraid if any wrong happen ,some thing will happen to our DR Configuration :)
Could you please help me ........

but I need to learn how to configure MSL ,add it with backup server to one zone,install data protector.
let us start with add MSL and Backup server to one zone,Please :)----------(1)

Installing data protector (in a large environment) could be a complex task and is a job for professionals - don't expect to get everything here for free, ask HP consulting (or someone else).

Meanwhile you can try study the various manuals from

If you think Data Protector is complex ,it could be but for people who are as you only :)

And because I am a customer,E-Books all what I need .

Is There any books ,explains who can we add backup server and MSL library in one Zone :)

Hello,

take a look into the HP StorageWorks B-Series User Guide. There is explained how to create alias, zones, put zones into zone-configs etc.

I agree to Torsten that configuration of a complex backup solution is nothing for users, or customers, without the needed knowhow.
