MSL 5000 series - mslutil.exe

I have been trying to connect to my msl using the provided serial cable and the MSL5000 utility provided for HP by Overland.

After attempting the connetion, I get a message "Verifying connection at 9600 baud". Then every time I get the message "Cannot connect to target."

I noticed that someone else had mentioned in a post that they had a similar issue. Is this a common issue or am I doing something obvious wrong?

Kate,

Are you using the correct serial cable. The serial cable to connect to the NSR router (FC library) and the serial cable to the library are different.

I had the same problem when I was using the serial cable from the NSR to connect to the library. Untill I switched from serial cable (internal cabling is different).

If it still fails, you can use HP L&TT to upgrade the firmware as well.
