MSL 6030 and RHEL 4.0
Hi,
I am having RHEL 4.0 AS box having qlogic HBA. The above is connected to an HP MSL6003 library (with two HP drives). But when the server boots up, it is sensing HP MSL6030 series in system devices in hwbrowser but no tape drives are being traced.
Pls help me to solve this.
Regards,
Shreejesh.

Re: MSL 6030 and RHEL 4.0
Hi Shreejesh,
This is not a Linux problem.
The issue is with the tape library. Connect to the Network Storage Router (NSR) using either the web interface, or serial cable, and change the mapping for the WWID's of the server. Set these to Linux.
The AF (Active Fabric) must be the last device on the list.
Then rescan the scsi bus and the system will see it.
Regards
Anthony
