MSL 6060 Backup with DP over Fiber Optic
I have MSL6060 with 4 drives and 2 FC e1200 router cards installed on it . It is connected through FC to HP 16 Port SAN switch. Also I have server DL 380 with FC card , which is connected to the same switch as well. DL380 Has Data Protector(DP) Cell Manager installed on it. Could you please explain how would I add this fiber library to Device&Media field in OV DP. Is Library needs to be configured before adding it to DP.I have triyed to add it by selecting SCSI Library, but when I'm trying to select SCSI address for new device DP gives an error "No device found". Actually I have no experience with FC Library and DP. Should DP automatically recognize MSL connected to the switch with Fiber???
Thanks in advance.

Re: MSL 6060 Backup with DP over Fiber Optic
you should see the new device in the device manager first. Also you can try HPs LTT to ensure connectivity. www.hp.com/support/tapetools
Did you configure the NSRs?
You need to connect to the e1200 router cards and define a mapping like described in your documentation delivered with the library.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
