MSL 6060 Hardware Compression Configuration
Hi
We are having MSL6060 tape libraryand using veritas NetBAckup DataCentre 4.5 software for backup purpose. I want to know if hardware compression is enabled by default,if not how to enable it and also were i have to check this.

To check the compression on the drives, you will need to install the Library and tape Tools:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ltt/index.html
With the L&TT you can download the scripts to check the compression setting as well as a bunch of other goodies.
Be sure to update the bios of the 6060 and the internal drives...

Hi,
The hardware compression is by default enabled in these MSL's
You can try to get the information from the STM and see if you can see the details of compression or else LTT is always there.
