Can we set it bypass any errors automatically?
This would greatly assist us when operating the library remotely.
Thanks in advance for any input.

SolutionTry the following from the front panel of the MSL:
1. From the touch screen, navigate to 'Menu'.
2. Next, from the Menu screen, look for 'SCSI' and select it.
3. Tap on the 'down' arrow button to scroll down the options and look for 'Tape Alert Mode'. Select it and ensure 'Logging Disabled' is selected.
4. Save the option(s).
Reboot the MSL if necessary.
Thanks,
Satish

Re: MSL 6060 bypass startup errors
Thank you for your reply.
I tried the steps you suggested and found that the scsi Tape Alert Mode is already set to 'Logging Disabled'.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Re: MSL 6060 bypass startup errors
You can also log in via the http and do something from there, but HW errors usualy cannot be solved remotely.

Re: MSL 6060 bypass startup errors
Usually that resolves the problem. Sometimes we have to reboot the library, NSR's and server a couple times to resolve the problem. the thing is, it can all be fixed remotely by the reboots, we can initiate the remote reboot, but the libary will not finish starting up to a state where we can use the http until the error on the screen is aknowledged.

Re: MSL 6060 bypass startup errors
Thanks for the reply. The other option that you could exercise would be through the Remote Management Web Interface (not sure if it has an option to disable the error logging). Do you have it enabled?
Thanks
