Re: MSL 8096 Library Error

hi marino
Thanks for your reply...
Would you please share more details like from OCP, does it say Welnss Test or combinations of commands = wellness test? If combinations of commands, what are those?

Re: MSL 8096 Library Error

from the ocp
you should go in
Support
Run Tests

you need to be logged as administrator

from the rmi
I think it should be
Support
General diagnostic
and them may be it is "Demo" but unsure

Re: MSL 8096 Library Error

hi
there is a warning

"If ran, the cartridges will be mixed up and data will be lost."

This is a production library. Will the tapes get mixed up among all the available pools?

Re: MSL 8096 Library Error

the cartridges will be mixed up related to the slot magazine
You can remove them and load some dummy ones for the test and put back the originals in their slots after the test.

Be sure to disconnect the FC or SCSI cable before to change teh cartridges or the host will try to run inventory of these new cartridges.

The test is not supposed to fix the problem but is supposed to generate the error, so you have to identify where it hang and what is was doing at that point.
once you get the error, you can collect immediately a support ticket and contact HP
