Is a MIB available for the HP MSL2024 tape library?

The MSL 2024 currently does not have a MIB.

Only the MSL5000/6000 and the enterprise libraries do at the moment.

Thanks for the info. I know this is far-fetched, but does the MSL2024 export any SNMP information at all (traps/alarms/etc)?

It does not provide SNMP traps, but it does support email/SMTP notification for warnings and/or errors. This is configured through the remote management interface.

Is there any documentation on the type/content of messages sent by the MSL2024 in its e-mail notifications?

I am looking for a list of messages/alerts that one can expect from the tape library. I looked around in the docs, but I could not find it.

There is nothing in the current manual that explains that. I've suggested to the development team that we include additional documentation and perhaps some examples, whenever they update the manual.

For errors, the email messages will provide information similar to the front panel. That would include the error codes and error description.

For warnings, it will include things such as:
- Move retries
- Redundant component failure
- Move attempted from drive with prevent media removal set
