MSL2024 Mailslot Problem

Using an MSL2024 with one drive and the mailslot enabled, I use the Move Tape under Operations to move a tape from any slot in a magazine to the Mailslot. The LED says the move is successful. I then use the Unlock Mailslot to open it so I can take out the tape, but before the Mailslot opens, the unit moves that tape to slot 23. When I open the Mailslot and put in a tape, the unit moves the tape into the Drive before I can tell it to move anything. What is the problem and how do I successfully use the Mailslot to load and unload tapes. Thanks, Jenny

It sounds like the Library is operating in a mode preventing full control of the unit.

Please check the Library is in Random mode.

Yes, I checked that it was in Random Mode. That's the first thing I thought what the problem. Unless it's switching without me knowing and I can't imagine how.
