MSL2024 serial number change

Hello
I have a problem with my MSL2024 Library.
We had exchange the Library Chassis over Spare part.
Now the library have a other serial number.
How i can change it?
My original S/N have warranty except to feb 08.
The exchange S/N is out of Warranty now.

The serial number change is expected and the warranty systems are supposed to be set up to handle that and apply your original to the exchange part.

Have you checked with HP to see what warranty is shown for that serial number or just looked it up somewhere. Some of the warranty lookup tools I have used don't query the actual database but instead look at the build date for that serial number which won't be correct in your case.
