MSL5026 FC 3300 and FC 3200

Hi,

I have a MSL5026 w/ 2 SDLT Drives with Lib FW=5.16 and SDLT FW=85.

Initial FC was 3300 then after reboot FC becomes 3200. I've already replaced the Library Controller and the Shuttle Assembly but I still got the same error when running Drive Cycle Test.

Does anyone know what other factors could cause these erros? And where can I find info about what output should I expect when running the Tachometer, Sensor & Friction Tests.

Hi, ensure that there are no obstructions inside the library (all cartridges are in magazines).Ensure cartridges are fully inserted in the magazine(s). FSC3200 > Shuttle Jammed ; FSC3300 > Rotary Jammed.

Hi, I don't see any obstraction. I have the top cover open while running Drive Cycle Test. The test works for a while, sometimes for 20 minutes before jamming again.

When you replaced the shuttle assembly did you replaced the track too? Could you check the shuttle flex cable, please. Friction & tachometer test are only factory diagnostics. Please run a sensor test to verify that all sensors work fine.

I did not replaced the track. Sensor tests seems to be okay. Yesterday, I re-aligned the rotary track sensor and lubricated the gear. I thought that fixed it because Drive Cycle Test ran for about 2 hours before it jammed again. I suspect it's either intermittent backplane or the motor on the rotating track. I don't have spare parts so I can't really isolate.

I ordered the shuttle assembly including the track so I'll keep you posted with the results once I replaced these parts. Thanks.

I replaced the track and everything works fine. Drive Cycle Test ran for 7hours without jamming.

Thanks for your help Uli! Anyway, before I close this thread, do you know if I can order just the track or just the motor? I suspect the motor on the track is bad. Thanks.

seems no seperate spares are available, only
412481-001 / 303071-001 is orderable. I took a look at overlandstorage.com ( NEO2000 ), but found nothing special.
