Re: MSL6030 Tape Drives
Javed,
Just SCSI chain them:SCSI controller - drive1 - drive2 - robot arm - SCSIterminator
The SCSI id's can be changed from the library console in front but by default they should have already different SCSI id's.
best regards,
Kurt

Re: MSL6030 Tape Drives
Javed:
You library looks something like the attached image or similar. I think the connectors are positioned differently on the 6030 then on the 5xxx series. Either way, it works the same way.
The left side is cabled to 2 hosts or 1 host with 2 controllers/2 cables.
The right side is cabled to 1 host, 1 cable.
Look here... http://h200007.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00296711/c00296711.pdf for the installtion poster and here... http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual&docIndexId=3124&locale=en_US&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=316040 for additional pdf documents.
By default, the library should be set up so that both drives have different ID's. You should not need to change them. (As Kurt Stated)
